PREGAME: I guess it’s just time to start another 8 game winning streak. The pitching match-up certainly looks favorable with Jeff Weaver taking on Justin Verlander.
Weaver has made 5 starts and only lasted 17 1/3 innings. But they’ve been productive innings (for the other team) with 29 runs allowed. Of course, the Tigers seem to struggle against Weaver. His ERA against the Tigers is 2.53 in 3 starts, and that doesn’t even include the post season last year.
On the other side is Justin Verlander, who for only the 4th time this year won’t be facing the Royals.
Game Time 1:05
Ahh, one of the best parts about being a student is that I can watch this. Justin got out of a bases-loaded (two rinky-dink singles and an HBP) with a gorgeous K of Beltre. Threw about 25 pitches, though.
Let’s get this *************.
Don’t worry so much, Billfer. We got this.
I had a dream yesterday that we’d not win the ninth game of the streak, but I was hoping it was wrong.
Alas, it was not.
I love Justin Verlander. Hes a sex machine….get on the floor sex machine!!!
Jim lyland is a stud too.
God bless Poland
WOW! Maggs just hit the bejesus outta that. 3-0!
All right, the boys are back. Yesterday was just a bad dream.
God, I LOVE watching Polanco hit.
C’mon, load the bases for Maggs.
Oooh, that’s a tough question.
good solid win.
Bless you boys!

Danny Knobler on Zumaya’s return. He (Joel) said he expects to be back in less then the 12 weeks and he says he’ll “be three times stronger then expected” and the doc said his injury is the same that Adam Eaton had last year for the Rangers, but it’s less severe then Eaton’s.
I just hope Leyland makes him rehab for a month longer than he wants. Joel’s the kind of guy that’ll come back too early.
That was a solid game. Rabello looked like he finally believes he’s in the big leagues. The next week is a tough one, let’s hope the bats stay hot.
Jeff M: I completely agree with you. The last thing we need is for him to rush back and re-injure it, which I think is something Joel may do. His career is more important then the 2007 stretch run.
