Zach Miner wasn’t the only guy in the organization who had to change plans in the early morning. Jon Connolly was called up from Erie to start in Miner’s place for the Mud Hens and threw a 1 hitter. Actually, both pitchers threw 1 hitters, and with it being only a 7 inning game due to the doubleheader, it was completed in 1:28. Chris Shelton doubled, walked, and was hit by pitch to constitute all the Mud Hen offense.

Mike Hessman had 2 hits, including his 10th homer, and a walk. Jack Hannahan added 2 hits as well. Jeremy Johnson allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, walking none and fanning 5 over 6 innings.
Trenton 2 Erie 3
Jeff Larish had 2 hits to lead the Wolbes attack. Dallas Trahern went 7 innings allowing 5 runs on 2 hits, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Kyle Sleeth pitched 2 innings allowing only 1 hit.
Dunedin 4 Lakeland 7
Michael Hernandez doubled twice among his 3 hits. Ryan Roberson singled and hit his 8th homer. Cameron Maybin went 2 for 4. Kyle Denney allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks over 5 innings.
West Michigan 5 Quad cities 2
Deik Scram had 3 hits and 2 walks for a perfect day at the plate and he had 2 stolen bases (and a caught stealing). Audy Ciriaco hit his first homer driving in 3 in the 9th inning. Angel Castro allowed 1 unearned run in 6 innings of work.
