Columbus 5 Toledo 14
No shortage of offense for the Mud Hens with Ryan Raburn leading the way. He hit for the cycle. Mike Hessman nearly matched him but was a single short. David Espinosa hit his 2nd homer of the year and Chris Shelton added two hits and a walk. Yorman Bazardo allowed 1 run on 6 hits, 4 walks and 1 strikeout in 6 innings. Roma Colon making a rehab appearance allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 1 inning of work.
Erie 3 Akron 5
A meager day for the Seawolves with only 5 hits. Eddie Bonine allowed 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings on 7 hits, 2 walks, and 2 K’s.
Palm Beach 3 Lakeland 2
Ovandy Suero had 2 hits and a walk. Surprisingly it resulted in only 1 stolen base, and 1 caught stealing. Cameron Maybin was 0 0for 3 with a walk. Eleazar Aponte pitched 6 shut out innings allowing 6 hits and 3 walks while fanning 5.
Fort Wayne 2 West Michigan 10
Brandon Timm had 3 hits, including 2 doubles. Ryan Strieby hit his 5th homer and added a single. Audy Ciriaco, James Skelton, Deik Scram, and Gorkys Hernandez all had multi-hit games as well. Angel Castro pitched 8 shutout innings allowing only 5 baserunners and striking out 3.

Nice job, Raburn!
i wonder if rayburn at third might not light a fire under the underachieving inge?
Maybin is at: 63 GB, 12 line drives, 29 fly balls, 4 pop ups, 1 bunt, and 1 unknown this year. That’s 57.7% of his balls put in play on the ground. This is starting to become Luis Castillo slap hitter esque. I could handle low HR totals if he’s finding gaps but he’s not. He’s sliding down mine and a lot of people’s prospects lists.
