Joe Sheehan sees the Tigers out of the playoffs picking the Indians in the Central and the Yanks for the WC. He thinks offensive injuries will sap the Tigers

Information about a system that the Tigers used last year, but Mclendon got rid of this year. Interesting concept, don’t know if it works but if some players thinks it works why not keep it around?

Reporters ask Sheffield questions. Sheffield answers. Lots of reporters as lots more questions.

That’s typical Sheehan. Can’t remember a single positive comment he’s had about the Tigers the past 2 years. Usually that is just someone defending there prediction. Nice how he says how the Tigers have had great health with the offense, but conveniently forgets that the bullpen has been destroyed by injuries. Does he really think that the Tigers would need to have the kind of offense they’ve had to this point if you had a healthy Zumaya and Rodney? This is to me where opinion breaks with analysis, and I go to BP for analysis and not opinion. Qutie a conundrum.
I think what is truly bizarre is that he picks the Yankees for the Wild Card, but believes the voters will choose Maggs for MVP. How can any rational person believe (1) the Yankees will storm back and win the wild card, but (2) A-Rod loses the MVP to Magglio, whose team didn’t make the playoffs. A nonsensical prediction.
“They don’t have any offensive depth at all”. Um, yeah. Let’s try “He don’t have any credibility at all”, after that nonsense.
How can the Yankees may the wild card? They have absolutely no pitching
This man is a Moron. He continues to prove it day in, day out.
If you’ve read Fantasyland, you’ll like Sheehan even less
