I hope he does well, but also learns to keep his ego a bit in check if he regains some of his former success.
This is one case where the cliche “baseball’s a business” does not apply. Monroe wasn’t cut for financial reasons; he was cut because of his play on the field. He sucked. All year long.
If the Tigers had been doing better overall they could have carried him; but some changes needed to be made, and Monroe had painted the bullseye on his own chest.
