Sure, Ozzie Smith can do back-flips and Cal Ripken had some kind of streak or something, and Ryne Sandberg might have been on WGN. But have any of them ever been on Magnum PI? Yeah, I didn’t think so…
Ed Note: This isn’t turning into a YouTube blog, merely coincidence with the back-to-back days. We’ll get back to talking about baseball shortly. And yes, I know I’ve posted this video before, but that was practically before YouTube.
Sweet Lou is a better actor than Trammell… and arguably Selleck.
I had no idea this existed. Billfer, you totally made my day.
I wasn’t a huge Magnum PI fan as a kid, but I was a huge Tiger fan. My Mom, knowing they’d be on, made me watch the show without telling me why. I freaked out when I seen their faces.
Haven’t seen this footage since that day.
What acting, eh?
I’m not a huge YouTube visitor, but being bored one day I did go on and watch some Earl Anthony vs Marshall Holman & Mark Roth bowling matches. Pretty neat to be able to do that.
Thanks for posting that, man. Very cool to watch again. I didn’t know that was on YouTube.
Cheers!
Well,
I love the TIgers now and have had season tickets since 1999, but I grew up in Baltimore.
Check this out on Youtube from 9/17/1980.

That’s almost as good as the episode when Magnum and Darrell Evans go hunting UFO’s!
