I was at the game and Curtis looked good. I missed the first hit and stolen base, but all of his other ab’s he made solid contact. Other than the triple and single he had a deep fly ball to the warning track in left field and a shot to right center that was barely run down. He was called out at home after the triple on a ground ball up the middle that hit the pitchers foot. It looked like a mix between some rust and a little bit of bad luck. Defensively, he only had two balls hit in his direction that I recall. One was a routine fly ball and the other was a shot to the left center gap that he ran down and caught on the warning track and hit the wall. All in all he looked pretty good, but it is only A-ball.
There’s some video at MLive.com – a nice interview and footage of his play.
Gotta love that Granderson!
