I’m wearing my virtual Ernie Harwell patch today.
Ernie, no one did it better than you….thanks for the memories……RIP
Ump is calling the outside strike on the lefties today.
awesome. 9 pitches and we’re down 1-0
actually a nice job by porcello to get out the first with only 1 more run against. just watching on gameday, his release point was all over the place and he couldn’t command the fastball. the second inning had a MUCH release point and he threw 8 of 10 pitches for strikes. maybe he can build on that and shut them down the rest of the way while we get some runs off slowey.
Avila getting in a groove.
Maybe we’ll see him get some regular play with Laird hurting.
AJax cost us a run there. He’ll learn. He’s more than earned his keep, but bad route.
The faster we can get out of Minnie the better.
Migy was due!
Ridiculous catch by the fan in the first row off the Cabrera homer.
AA just got under that one a little too much.
Oh no…….Raburn replaces Johnny in left!
Looks like the problem is the whole state of Minnesota, not just the Metrodome.
Nick Punto…can the Twins trade him to the national league?
Terrible end to the inning. Cannot walk Castilla there.
Brutal, just brutal.
These guys are called professionals.
Tigers playing three rookies and two utility guys; this stuff, unfortunately, is going to happen a lot.
how many of the guys that were walked have scored so far?
It’s still only the bottom of the 5th. We still have time.
when you watch the Tigers attempt to play outfield I wonder how much they miss VanSlyke
Miggy x2.
Wow what a bomb Miggs!
that was so high… in the dome it might have been a “speaker rule” single
Raburn caught it!
oops nice throw to nowhere Raburn!
Disaster averted. Let’s string together some hits now.
Bonine has quietly done a nice job so far this year
2 pitches to Inge and Sizemore. Yikes!
why not bat Boesch hitting .325 and hit for Kelly hitting .172 ..guess it didn’t matter
Because that would make sense.
I was wondering the same thing. I caught the tracker in-between things, saw that Boesch was coming up with Miggy on and was excited as I am for Miggy/Damon coming up in a clutch situation…and he subs in Inge for him, when the next hitter was Inge’s replacement for the day?! Does it have to do with Boesch’s splits against lefties?
Alright, here we go BOOBS, 7-8-9 due up
Avila x 2
Well thats an encouraging start to the inning
this will guarentee AA will be on the bench Friday !
Thats a good way to end the series… a smoked line drive for an out.
4 home runs today and we scored…. 4 runs. Surprising for a team that is among the league leaders in OBP. Figures it works out for the Twins’ advantage though. This is the luckiest team on the planet. They are good – really good – but also incredibly lucky.
Somebody is going to have to look up how often a team gives up 4 HR (and hits none) and wins the game. Coleman? Your time to shine, buddy.
I hate the twinks…. but they ARE a much better team than the Tigers, and the best Twikies didn’t even play or pitch
We avoided Liriano and Pavano, but still got swept. We get a much needed day off tomorrow. I know I’ll still grieving.
Air out of the balloon today.
Need at least 2 out of 3 in Cleveland, with the Yankees coming to town for four next week.
Thank goodness for an off day, almost forgot what those were.
