Armando Galarraga joins the Tigers rotation, and for more than just a day. He’ll take on John Lackey in the rubber game of the series. With a bullpen that is once again thin after two poor starting performances and 3 extra innings, 6 innings from Galarraga would be immensely helpful.
The Tigers send out a different kind of lineup with Austin Jackson getting his second day off this season.
- Damon, LF
- Santiago, SS
- Ordonez, DH
- Cabrera, 1B
- Boesch, RF
- Inge, 3B
- Kelly, CF
- Avila, C
- Worth, 2B
Boston Red Sox at Detroit Tigers – May 16, 2010 – MLB.com Preview
We finally have the Battlestar back on the mound for us.
I’d call our 6 thru 9 lineup today Murder Victim’s Row.
LOL.
A four pitch leadoff walk by AG………could it be a quick trip back to Toledo.
Two walks so far in the 1st and only 1 out!
AG worked out of the inning nicely witout any damage.
He just made Big Papi look silly.
Today’s fun fact: Dontrelle Willis’s career OPS is only 10% lower than Brandon Inge’s and is almost identical to Adam Everett’s.
Post of the day. I wonder what Willis’ RF is.
Nice at bat by AA.
Avila! Worth!
Was Inge walking up the line there?
well the Battlestar for Scherzer has paid off already 4 innings only 1 run…… plus we are all Battlestar fans!
Battlestar looking sharp.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRamon!
Ramon baby Ramon!
Rockin’ Walkin’ Ramon!

The bullpen is spent.
Very nice job by Armando.
Johnny was SAFE……it wasn’t even close.
thanks. I’m at the game and was really surprised when bondo came out of the pen
Just think of the beauty starting rotation we would have……..JV & RP of course……..a retuned Scherzer better than ever……..Galarraga keeping it going and improving on today’s performance………and some good outings by Bono/D-Train………..puts a big smile on my face.
Fu ti ro la costa Ni.
fu te ni fa so la ti do
If this was a day off for Jackson, why did Leyland put him out there?
defense
Speaking of defense, what a DP!
Excellent…..another series win.
Another very nice home series against one of the better teams. Minnesota check…New York check….Boston check. Who’s Next?
nice week boys….keep up the good work….
