  1. Lineup posted:

    Jackson CF
    Damon DH
    Frazier LF
    Cabrera 1B
    Peralta 3B
    Boesch RF
    Raburn 2B
    Laird C
    Worth SS

  2. Ouch Would have liked a better showing,,,,,,,,,,,, lets see how we do in the night cap. So I guess we take the next three ……………………. right?

    1. it would be nice if we could blame it all the injuries and playing so many rookies, but that doesn’t explain why the pitching staff is giving up 12 runs…

  3. I was in gwinnett last night for the mud hens game. Strieby did not play, Casper is starting to hit the ball a little, Chris White threw a laser to get a guy at the plate and Oliver was not locating at all last night. His stat line reflected as much.

    1. We battled back, scored the last run of the game to get us within two grand slams and a two run homer of tying the game. So close!

      I can’t believe I bought 4 tickets for Saturday’s game this morning…

  4. Baseball folk wisdom says it’s practically impossible to win both games of a double-header.

    So by losing the first game, we greatly increased the odds of winning tonight.

    There, that’s the best I can do.

  5. As Dandy Don Meredith would croon during a MNF blowout: ‘turn out the lights, the party’s over.’

  6. I predict:
    lineup:
    Raburn CF
    Santiago 2B
    Frazier LF
    Kelly 1B
    Peralta 3B
    Boesch RF
    Rhymes DH
    Worth SS
    Avila C

    Tigers 7, White Sox 5

    Because that’s how baseball is.

    1. I’d switch Boesch and Santiago though. Brennan is 7 for his las 71 (all singles with his last HR being June 27th) which makes him perfectly suited for the 2-hole. Laird can’t hit there because he played in game 1. Besides, we know Brennan isn’t comfortable hitting 5th (or 3rd) and Leyland will have to bat him somewhere. Also, because our firstbaseman bats cleanup, you have to switch Frazier and Kelly.

  7. The Tiger record vs AL Central teams this year 16-23; 2009 = 39-34; 2008 = 27-45; 2007 = 36-36

    Tiger vs White Sox – over last six years: 35 – 62
    2010 = 1-4
    2009 = 9-9
    2008 = 6-12
    2007 = 7-11
    2006 = 7-12
    2005 = 5-14

  8. Sitting here watching the local news: ” a fan favorite is coming to West Michigan. We’ll tell you all about it after the break” Cringe is playing for the Whitecaps tonight.
