This team is becoming a bigger joke on a daily basis.
Toronto knows the Tigers can’t score, so they are going for the insurance run in the bottom of the second.
Success. Well played small ball strategy.
Smokey Jr. could take a page or two from the BJ manager’s book, and start to manufacture runs like he said he was going to do at the beginning of the season.
They tried it successfully early on, but seem to have gotten away from that sometime in April. That’s what happens when you have a team that slugs it.
Seriously, I don’t think you can put plays on when you have a lineup of hackers. Most of these guys will (and do) swing at just about anything. There isn’t enough of a nuanced approach (e.g. patience) to their at bats.
Then send the guilty parties to the minors to learn!
Goodnight Irene ….. might as well put this one in the (L) column!
That’s baseball.
Miggy might be hurting more than he is letting on; all the ground balls and popups, to say nothing of the power outage.
We can’t hit, we can’t catch ….. we are in big trouble!
The Blue Jays have discovered a major weakness: put the ball in play on the left side, including more bunts.
Sanchez leaves the game with an injury ….. stormy weather on the horizon for the Tigers.
Bullpen holds us in the game. Where are the bats?
I just got buzzed by a bat in the backyard, does that count?
Buehler, Buehler, anyone?
The whole team starting with Smokey Jr. look and act like they are somewhere else or would like to be somewhere else!
I keep saying that about Cabrerra. He has that Fernando Rodney look all the time on his face!
I can’t wait to hear from Smokey Jr on how well the Tigers did…
.
Jays bunted…we used too
Jays double steal…we used too
Jays squeeze…we have months ago
Jays caught the ball…we used too
Jays with timely hits…we used too
Jays 3-4-5 hitters had 6 hits…we used too
Wow!..what was that!
Bottom of the order shows up. Keep it up boys.
And what was that!!!!…this guy could pitch for us!
Break out the scotch. We need it now.
Quick, pour me a glass!
The big bats are at the bottom again. I can’t believe how hard Suarez hit that.
Let the real game begin!
Yeah Suarez spanked it.
That’s one, he’s off.
Cmon Joe. Let’s get this done.
I didn’t see what I just saw….piece of cake!!….that’s baseball!
Unbelievable win …… nothing comes easy for the Tigers.
I was beginning to think we were playing in Cleveland.
The Kids are Alright – Castellanos & Suarez. Maybe they will lead this team. No one else seems in a hurry to take on the role.
