Chris Sale has changed his Sox, but otherwise today is another Verlander-Sale duel.

Hopefully Mikie Mahtook can stay hot, to make up for the Tigers having possibly the worst 3-4 combo in the league right now.

  1. Beside 3-4..McMendoza is back. So instead of two catchers hitting. .300
    we get one getting 1 hit a week….
    Me I am rooting for a JV shutout…

  2. Another great start, 1st and 3rd no outs. 2-3-4 hitters can’t even put the ball in play! And of course, 3-4 are locked in stone no matter who’s hot or who’s not.

  3. And speaking of 3-4, how bad is your team when you have first and third, no outs and 2–3–4 can’t even put their bat on a pitch. ..3Ks…nice gig for $50 mil.

  5. Doesn’t seem that hard, 2 runs and about 40 pitches. Not quite like the Tigers.

  7. Casty came through and Miggy had a productive out, tied. Iggy is the offense.

  9. 3-3 not bad for bottom of 6th except we need the pen to at least hold for a while.

  10. 3-3 in the 7th…. We are really down 2 vs. a good team
    with out bull pen….

  12. Miggy and Victor now strike out like Upton used to…this team has quit on our boy Brad!!..body language amazing!

  13. Earlier tonight I was going to take exception to Coleman’s statement that we have possibly the worse 3-4 combo in baseball. I’m still not sure, but they’ll do until the worst combo comes along.

  18. I can’t believe Brad has JWillie warming up! I would let Lettuce pitch before I’d bring my closer into a 11-3 game. Unless, of course they’ve have reservations at a local club they might lose.

  19. Hey wait..the Sox have 13 hits and 11 runs…how come the Tigers get 13 hits they get 3 runs always……

    If he brings in JWillie in a 11-3 game hes dumber than I know he is…. don’t give me that he hasn’t pitched in awhile BS either. Romine hasn’t pitched in a while either…
