Ian Kinsler is not at all happy about Angel Hernandez behind the plate, and he is not the only one—just the one willing to take the fine/suspension that is coming his way.

- Justin Upton, LF
- Miguel Cabrera, DH

Pitching: Anibal Sanchez vs Cole Hamels
Wondering if Sanchez will give up more home runs than Hammels will give up hits. (Bootsie just homered!) My other question is why Miggy at DH when Victor has been hitting lately. Probably because of Miggys speed on the bases, when he gets on.
I wonder if it’s in the contract of every Tiger relief pitcher, not named Greene that you are required to walk the first guy you face….
Hicks is going to fit right in. 2 walks ahead of him and strikes out on 4 pitches, none of which were strikes.
My suggestion for the Tigers is ” still” go up to the plate without a bat…. And take your chances!!!
It might be even better if Tigers pitchers would go to the mound without a ball.
In fact, Detroit might want to consider replacing the pitching staff with a pitching machine, for improved ERA, lower cost, and better fielding.
Maybe just use a batting tee? This would cut down the home runs allowed.
Then again, given what’s likely to happen to a pitching machine pitching for the Tigers (what with all the sign stealing and so forth), having to pull the pitching machine in the 3rd inning for another one would be pretty embarrassing, and a lot of work.
+1
That’s why I dislike pulling the infield in. Would have gladly traded a run for an out. The other way, was to fill the bases and pitch to Beltre. But as our announcer said, Brad wasb’t thinking……………..that way.
Can hardly wait for the Dodgers to come to town!!!!
At least it’s in Detroit. What’s the worst that could happen?
