Toledo 7, Scranton 3 (Yankees)

Duane “lookout” Below (LHP) struck out 9 batters in 6 innings of work en route to a win. He allowed just 2 ER on 6 hits and 2 walks. On the year, Below has a 3.52 average with 57 K’s in 69 IP. Ryan Perry threw two innings of 1-run ball with 3 K’s to earn his first save at AAA.

Magglio went 3-5 with a run scored, a double, and a run batted in. Ryan Strieby (1B) also went 3-5 with a double, but Strieby drove in 3 to lead the Mud Hens. Timo had 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Will Rhymes went 3-5.

Erie 3, Harrisburg 1 (Nationals)

Luke Putkonen (RHP) earned his first win in 11 starts after he threw 7 innings of scoreless, 4 hit baseball. Putkonen did not walk a batter and struck out 4. Austin Wood (LHP) got the save after he recorded the final 2 outs.

Rawley Bishop (1B) had 2 hits and 2 runs scored in 4 ABs. He drove in 1. Audy Ciriaco (SS) went 2-3 with a 2B and 2 RBI.

Lakeland 2, Tampa 5 (Yankees)

Trevor “Mr.” Feeney (RHP) pitched a heck of a game: 8 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K. Unfortunately, his offense didn’t back him up and he took the loss. Tyler Stohr (RHP) gave up 3 ER in the top half of the 9^th.

Tony Plagman (1B) had the only night to speak of offensively as he went 2-3 with a RBI and a BB. Wade Gaynor (3B) went 0-4 with 3 K’s.

West Michigan 6, Cedar Rapids 1 (Angels)

Feeney wasn’t the only minor leaguer to pitch a brilliant game Saturday night, Jose Carreno (RHP) gave up just 1 unearned run over 8 innings. He allowed only 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8. Deservedly, Carreno was the winning pitcher of record. Michael Torrealba (RHP) gave up a hit and a walk in an inning of relief.

Dixon Machado lead the Whitecaps with 3 RBI after a bases-clearing, two out,  triple in the 4^th. Nick Castellanos went 1-3 with 2 RBI and a walk. Jeff Rowland had the other RBI after he went 1-2 with 2 walks.

Hernan Perez (2B) went 1-4 with a run scored. Through nearly 200 ABs, Perez is hitting .325 with 12 steals. He’s only 20 and will undoubtedly develop some additional power as he matures. Please promote this man.

Toledo 3, Scranton 4 (Yankees)

Scranton won on a soft fly walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth. Lester Oliveros gave up the run, and became the losing pitcher, after allowing 3 hits and 2 walks in one inning. Phil Coke made his rehab start and threw 5 1/3 innings. He gave up 8 hits, 2 walks and 3 ER while striking out 6. He threw 89 pitches, 58 for strikes.

Magglio also made a rehab appearance and went 0-3 with a strike out. Bryan Pounds (3B) went 2-4 with a run scored, a homer, and an RBI. Clete Thomas (CF) went 1-3 with a double, 2 RBI, and a walk.

Erie 6, Harrisburg 5 (Senators)

With the game tied at 5, Michael Bertram (DH) lead off the bottom of the 10^th. He then belted a homer into straightaway center field for the walk-off win. That was the 2^nd hit in a 2-5 night in which he scored two runs. Justin Henry (OF) went 0-1 but drew an unbelievable 4 walks. Audy Ciriaco (SS) also had a nice night: 3-4, 2 R, 1 2B.

Jacob Turner started for the Wolves. He gave up 6 hits and walks in 7 1/3. Of those base runners, 3 turned into earned runs. Turner struck out 5. His ERA for the season is now at 2.79. Last night’s start marked his tenth of the year. He has allowed more than 3 ER only once, when he gave up 4 over 7 innings back on April 28^th.

Chance Ruffin (RHP) looked like a stud in a magnificent relief effort. He was the pitcher of record after two innings of work while striking out 4 without allowing a hit or walk.

Lakeland 8, Fort Myers 6 (Twins)

Drew Smyly was the winning pitcher. He gave up2 ER on  5 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings. Kenny Faulk recorded save number 15 after pitching an inning and allowing a hit while striking out 1.

Jordan Lennerton (1B) signed a new endorsement deal with the number 2. He then showed up to the ball park and went 2-4 with 2 runs scored, 2 2B, and 2 RBI. Gustavo Nunez (SS) had a great night as well. He recorded 3 hits and drove in 2 in 5 ABs.

West Michigan 5, Cedar Rapids 4 (Angels)

Jeff Rowland (LF) drew a walk-off walk in the bottom of the tenth which scored Nick Castellanos and gave the ‘Caps the win.  Antonio Cruz got no decision after 5 innings as the starter in which he allowed 4 ER on 6 hits and 4 BB. Nate Newman (RHP) became the winner after striking out the side in the top half of the 10^th.

Steven Moya (RF) had the best night offensively as he hit two solo homers and drew two walks in 5 ABs.

Toledo 0, Rochester 8 (Twins)

Villarreal gave up 4 runs, 2 earned, in 3 2/3 innings to take the loss.  Ryan Perry pitched a scoreless 9^th inning, but allowed a walk.

It was a miserable night offensively.  Although, Will Rhymes had a decent night as he went 1-3 with a  walk.

Erie 8, Binghamton  2 (Mets)

Casey Crosby (LHP) started and was the winning pitcher after 6 2/3 innings. He managed to convert 11 base runners (6 BB, 5 H) into just 2 runs (1 ER).  Both Wood and Ruffin looked good in relief as neither man allowed a run. Ruffin K’ed 2 batters in 1 inning of relief.

Rawley Bishop (1B) had a big game: 3-5, 2 R, 3 2B, 3 RBI. Michael Bertram also drove in 3 runs and went 2-5 from the plate.

Lakeland 4, Fort Myers 0 (Twins)

Victor Larez (RHP) pitched 7 innings. Over those innings, he allowed just 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. Deservedly, he earned the win. In his last 17 innings of work, Larez has allowed just two runs.

Daniel Fields went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Lennerton and Garcia picked up an RBI each.

West Michigan 3, Quad Cities 5 (Cardinals)

This one was tied at 3 headed into the 8^th inning. Then, Dan Gentzler (RHP) allowed the final 2 runs and took the loss. Ramon Lebron held the “DJ’s” scoreless after relieving Gentzler. Lebron allowed only 1 hit in 2 2/3 while K’ing 3. He’s got a .86 ERA thus far.

Nick Castellanos (3B) went 1-4 and drove in 2. Robert Brantly (C) had the other RBI after a 1-4 performance.

Toledo 5, Rochester 0 (Twins)

Thad Weber (RHP)  looked terrific as the Mud Hens starter. He threw 7 scoreless innings and scattered 7 hits and a walk while striking out 5. Weber took the win. Matt Hoffman struck out 2 over two perfect innings of relief.

Timo Perez (LF) had the top night offensively. Perez went 2-4 with 2 runs, a double, and a solo home run. On the year, Perez is hitting .306. Clete Thomas (CF) added 2 RBI on a homer and Bryan Pounds (3B) drove in the final ‘Hens RBI on a solo homer.

Erie 3, Binghamton 1 (Mets) (Game 1)

Jay Voss was credited with the win after lasting 5 2/3 innings and allowing an ER on 2 hits and 3 BB. Zach Simons (RHP) saved the game after an inning and 2/3 of relief.

Jamie Johnson (CF) went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a walk. John Murrian (C) drove in the other Erie run.

Erie 2, Binghamton 3 (Game 2)

Binghamtom won this game in walk-off fashion after Austin Wood (LHP) allowed a run in the bottom of the 8^th. 

Bishop and Holaday combined for the SeaWolves offense in the second game – each man drove in one run.

Lakeland 13, Fort Myers 2 (Twins)

Cole Nelson (LHP) lasted 6 innings as Lakeland’s SP. He posted the following line in a winning effort: 5 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K. Kevan Hess (RHP) gave up another ER in 2 innings of work and Ryan Robowski (LHP) worked a perfect 9^th to complete the game.

Avisail Garcia (RF) played out of his mind: 4-5, 2 R, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 1 BB. Corey Jones (2B) also had 4 hits in 5 ABs.  Gustavo Nunez (SS) went 3-4 and fell a homer short of the cycle while driving in 2 and drawing 2 walks.

West Michigan 4, Quad Cities 5 (Cardinals)

West Michigan trailed 5-3 heading into the bottom of the ninth and attempted a rally; sadly, the ‘Caps late effort fell short and Bruce Rondon (RHP) was credited with the loss. In a unique starting line, Kevin Eichhorn posted the following: 6.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, and 4 K.

Robert Brantly (C) went 1-3 with a walk, a homer, and 2 RBI. In 142 ABs this year, Brantly is hitting .310 and SLG .444. Castillo and Hamme also drove in one RBI each.

Toledo vs. Durham (Rays): PPD – rain

Erie 1, Reading 2 (Phillies)

Erie took a 1-0 lead into the 8^th before Reading scored their two runs and hung on for the win. Casey Crosby (LHP) started and posted the following line: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K. Zach Simons (RHP) became the losing pitcher after allowing 2 R in 1 2/3 innings. Chance Ruffin blew a save after allowing inherited base runners to score. Ruffin walked 3 in an inning and a third.

Rawley Bishop (1B) had the only Erie RBI on a solo homer. Bishop also drew a walk in four plate appearances.

Lakeland 0, Palm Beach 2 (Cardinals)

Drew Smyly was the losing pitcher after giving up 2 ER in 5 innings. Victor Larez (RHP) pitched a terrific 3 innings. He allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 4 in 3 innings.

Despite being blanked, Lakeland managed to produce 6 hits and 2 walks. Jordan Lennerton (DH) lead the kingdom of the blind going 1-3 with a double and a walk.

West Michigan 1, Lake County 3 (Indians) Game 1

Brennan Smith (RHP) took the loss but still pitched an 8-inning complete game. He allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits and 2 walks. He also K’ed 4.

No RBIs for the ‘Caps but Castellanos and Nowlin each had 2 hits.

West Michigan 5, Lake County 2 – Game 2

Patrick Cooper recorded the win after 5 innings as the West Michigan starter. He gave up 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits. Notably, he didn’t walk a batter and struck out 6. Logan “Tom Selleck” Hoch (LHP) got his first save of the year after 2 scoreless innings of relief.

Robert Brantly (C)  had three hits in 4 ABs including 2 doubles. He also drove in a run. Castillow and Gulliver added an RBI each and James Robbins (1B)  went 2-4 with a double.

Toledo 3, Durham 7 (Rays)

Durham won late with two runs in the 8^th and two more in the 9^th. Ramon Garcia (LHP) started and went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Matt Hoffman blew a save after giving up an ER in 1 2/3 innings. Brendan Wise wound up with the loss after Durham tagged him for 2 more ER on 2 hits and 2 walks in 1.1 IP.

Ryan Strieby went 2-4 with a HR, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Argeniz Diaz (3B) added the other RBI after going 2-4. Diaz also scored a run and drew a walk. Max St. Pierre (C) went 0-4 with 3 K’s.

Erie 11, Reading 7 (Phillies)

This game only lasted 5 innings but each team exploded offensively. Mark Sorensen (RHP) must have been praying to the baseball gods because despite the following line he was the winning pitcher of record: 5 IP, 10 H, 7 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.

After 11 runs in 5 innings, this game had many potential “bat of the night” candidates.

Brandon Douglas (2B): 3-4, 3 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI. Michael Bertram (DH): 2-3, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 1 BB. Finally, Justin Henry (LF): 2-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI.

Lakeland 3, Palm Beach 2 (Cardinals)

Lakeland trailed 1-2 heading into the 8^th inning when Jordan Lennerton (1B) drove in 2 on a bases-loaded single. Lakeland pitching allowed this one to be within striking distance. Jared Wesson (LHP) had a terrific start: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K. Tyler Stohr (RHP) struck out the side in one inning of relief and Kenny Faulk (LHP) picked up his 12^th save of the year after a scoreless ninth.

Lennerton produced all 3 Lakeland RBIs on 2-4 from the plate. Gustavo Nunez (SS) went 1-4 with a run scored.

West Michigan 6, Lake County 3 (Indians)

Kyle Ryan (LHP) pitched extremely well as the West Michigan starter: 7 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. For the year, his ERA is a respectable 3.74. Ramon Lebron pitched a scoreless 8^th and Bruce Rondon (RHP) recorded save #7 as he held down the 9^th.

Nick Castellanos (3B) had a solid night with the bat: 3-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI. Jeff Rowland (LF) went 3-4 with a run scored. Luis Castillo (CF) went 2-3 with a run scored, 2 RBI, and 2 BB. Robbins (1B) homered and had 2 RBI.

Toledo 2, Pawtucket 3 (Red Sox)

After Matt Hoffman (LHP) blew a save opportunity, Lester Oliveros (RHP) took the loss when he allowed an ER in the top of the 10^th inning. Andy Oliver started and threw 2+ innings. He gave up an ER on 4 hits.

Will Rhymes (DH) lead the ‘Hens with a 3-5 night including an RBI. Ryan Strieby (1B) had the other RBI and went 2-5. Ben Guez (RF) went 1-4. Since his promotion from Erie, Guez is hitting .353 in 51 ABs.

Erie 1, Richmond 5 (Giants)

LJ Gagnier (RHP) started for the SeaWolves and was the losing pitcher. Here’s his line: 6.1 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 0 BB, 2 K. Cory Hamilton (RHP) didn’t allow a run in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Brandon Douglas (2B) went 1-3 with a  walk and a run scored. Bishop and Pounds had 2 hits each. Bryan Holaday (C) had the ‘Wolves only RBI on 1-4 from the plate.

Lakeland 0, Bradenton 9 (Pirates)

Trevor “Mr.” Feeney (RHP) got beat around big time as the Lakeland starter. In a losing effort he allowed 9 hits, 8 ER, and 2 walks in 4 innings. A platoon of relievers held Bradenton to one more ER over 5 innings.

Not only was their starter hit around, the Lakeland offense also took the night off as they were two-hit by Bradenton pitching. Corey Jones (2B) had the most productive night as he went 1-2 with a walk. Daniel Fields (CF) went 0-4 with 3 K’s.

West Michigan 2, Bowling Green 10 (Rays)

In another example of bad starting pitching, Josue Carreno (RHP) made it through just one inning as the West Michigan starter. He allowed 6 ER on 5 hits and 2 walks. Patrick Cooper (RHP) had the only good night on the slab: 3.2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.

Ryan “Green Eggs &” Hamme (RF) put together a solid evening of offense: 2-3, 2 runs, 1 HR, 1 RBI, and a walk. Gulliver, J (2B) had the other RBI for the caps. Hernan Perez (SS) continued his sizzling year going 2-5 with a double. His average remains an impressive .340.

Toledo 2, Pawtucket 12 (Red Sox)

Surprisingly, this game was 3-2 heading into the 9^th inning.  In the top half of the 9^th, Toledo relievers Ortega and Weinhardt, combined to give up 9 ER on 8 hits and 2 walks. Starter Duane Below (LHP) wound up with the loss despite a quality outing: 8 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.

Omir Santos (C) led the way with the bat: 2-3, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI. Danny Worth (3B) went 2-4 and Timo Perez (LF) had the other RBI.

Erie 6, Richmond 3 (Giants)

Casey Crosby (LHP) improved to 2-2 on the year after earning the win. Crosby pitched 6 innings and gave up 7 hits, 1 ER, and 3 walks while striking out 5. His ERA for the year is a respectable 3.46. Jared Gayhart (RHP) had a poor outing in relief: 2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K.  Rob Waite (RHP) got his first save of the year after a scoreless 9^th.

New acquisition, Adam Calderone (RF) went 2-4 with an RBI. Despite recording 6 total runs, Rawley Bishop (1B) had the only other RBI for the ‘Wolves.

Lakeland 5, Bradenton 2 (Pirates)

After trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the 8^th, Lakeland put up a Rod Allen crooked number “5” and held “Dallas” Bradenton scoreless in the 9^th for the win. Even though he wound up with no decision, Victor Larez ( RHP) pitched well: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 B, 4 K. Tyler Stohr (RHP) earned the win after throwing two scoreless innings.

Julio Rodriguez drove in 2 and went 1-4 from the plate. Fields and Plagman got the 2 other RBI for the Flying Tigers. Notably, Daniel Fields (CF) went 2-4 with a double, triple, and run scored.

West Michigan 2, Fort Wayne 4 (Padres)

Dan Gentzler (RHP) blew a save opportunity in the 9^th and caused this one to go into extras when Fort Wayne put up the difference in the top of the 10^th. Gentzler took the loss after staying on into the 10^th. Starter Antonio Cruz (LHP) looked good: 6.1 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 B, 8 K.

PJ Polk (RHP) had a terrific night from the plate: 3-4, 1 run scored. Perez and Castellanos had an RBI each. Robert Brantly (DH) went 0-5 with a K.

Toledo 5, Pawtucket 4 (Red Sox)

The Mud Hens walked-off after a sac fly from Ryan Strieby (1B) scored Danny Worth in the bottom of the 11^th. Lester Oliveros (RHP) was the winning pitcher after he held Pawtucket scoreless through the 10^th and 11^th. He walked 2 and K’ed 3.

Scott Thorman (LF) went 1-4 with a homer and three RBI.

Erie 3, Bowie 2 (Orioles)

Erie also won in extra innings after they scored 1 in the top of the 12^th and hung on for the victory. Jacob Turner (RHP) started and lasted 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk while striking out 8. Chance Ruffin (RHP) was credited with the win after 2.2 innings of scoreless relief with 4 K’s.

Jamie Johnson (CF) went 3-6 with a run scored, a double, and a RBI. Audy Ciriaco (SS) had the only other RBI for the ‘Wolves.

Lakeland 2, Jupiter 4 (Marlins)

Lakeland fell behind 3-0 early and never caught up. Cole Nelson (LHP) took the loss after surrendering those three ER over 6 IP but K’ed 6. Michael Morrison (RHP) allowed the other ER after 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Ryan Soares (2B) went 2-4 with a  double and a RBI. Michael Rockett (OF) had the second RBI on a single.

West Michigan 7, Fort Wayne 9 (Padres)

Despite giving up 6 runs (5 earned) in 4 2/3 as the starter, Kyle Ryan (LHP) avoided taking the loss. Instead, Michael Torrealba (RHP) ate the “L” after allowing 3 unearned runs in 1 1/3 innings of work.

James Robbins (1B) had a big night with the bat: 2-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI. Hernan Perez (2B) went 2-5 with 2 RBI and a double. Castillo, Castellanos, Moya, and Machado had 1 RBI apiece for the explosive White Caps offense.

Toledo 2, Charlotte 1 (White Sox)

Adam Wilk (LHP) improved his record to 3-4 with the win last night. In 7 2/3 IP he gave up 7 hits and 2 walks, but held Charlotte to only 1 run on a solo home run. He struck out 4. Brendan Wise (RHP) faced one batter and retired him. Enrique Gonzalez (RHP) got his 6^th save of the year after pitching the 9^th.

Ryan Strieby (1B) had the only RBI of the night for the ‘Hens after a solo homerun. Danny Worth (3B) went 2-4.

Erie 2, Bowie 6 (Orioles)

Bowie controlled this one from the start. Despite a two-run Erie rally in the 8^th, the outcome was never in doubt. Luke Putkonen (RHP) became the losing pitcher after allowing 6 runs (5 earned) on 6 hits and 3 walks over 5 IP. Hamilton and Waite combined to throw three scoreless innings. Putkonen dropped his record to 0-5 on the season.

Jamie Johnson (CF) and Bryan Pounds (3B) each went 2-4 and Pounds recorded the only RBI for the SeaWolves. Justin Henry (2B) went 0-1 but drew two walks and came around to score a run. In 98 ABs, Henry is hitting .357 with an OBP of .447.

Lakeland 4, Jupiter 1 (Marlins)

Jay Voss (LHP) started for the Flying Tigers and pitched 7 strong innings: 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K. He got the win and improved his record to 3-0 on the year with a 3.21 ERA. Stohr and Kenny Faulk (LHP) combined to throw 2 scoreless innings. Faulk picked up his 9^th save of the year.

Jordan Lennerton (DH) went 2-4 with an RBI. Brent Wyatt (LF) was 1-1 with a run scored, an RBI, and a walk.

Despite going 0-2, Corey Jones (2B) led Lakeland with 2 RBI (sac fly and force out).

West Michigan 1, Fort Wayne 8 (Padres)

Kevin Eichhorn (RHP) started for the ‘Caps and allowed 5 runs (3 earned) in 6 2/3 innings. Eichhorn struck out 5 without walking a batter. Nate Newman (RHP) gave up 3 more ER in 2/3 of an inning. Logan Hoch (LHP) looked good in relief: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB.

James Robbins (1B) had the only RBI for West Michigan after a solo homer in the 5^th. Jeff Rowland (OF) went 2-4.

Toledo 7, Charlotte 10 (White Sox)

The Mud Hens blew a 7-1 lead after giving up 3 runs in the 6^th and 6 in the 8^th. In a starting role, Duane Below (LHP) gave up 4 ER over 6 IP. Below also struck out 6.

Robbie Weinhardt took the loss and allowed 4 ER over 1 inning of relief.

Scott Thorman (LF) and Ben Guez (RF) each homered.  Danny Worth went 2-4 with a double and 2 runs scored. Timo Perez (DH) went 2-5 with a run scored, a double, and 2 RBI. In fact, every Mud Hen except St. Pierre and Strieby recorded a hit.

Lakeland 3, Jupiter 6 (Marlins)

This game remained tied at 3 from the 3^rd inning to the 11^th when Jupiter added 3 and held the lead for the win.

Victor Larex (RHP) received no decision: 5 IP, 11 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. Samuels and Little combined to throw 5 scoreless innings.  Kenny Faulk took the loss after giving up 3 runs (2 earned) in the top of the 11^th.

Garcia and Waytt each went 2-4 with a run scored. Daniel Fields (CF) and Corey Jones (2B) had the only RBIs of the night with 2 and 1, respectively.

West Michigan 6, Bowling Green 5 (Rays)

Antonio Cruz (LHP) was the winning pitcher after starting for the ‘caps: 6 IP, 6 H, 4 R (3 earned), 4 BB, 3 K. Torrealba and Bruce Rondon (RHP) combined to close it out. Rondon recorded his 5^th save of the year.

Luis Castillo (CF) led the way offensively: 2-5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Billy Nowlin (DH) went 1-4 with a HR and RBI. Machado and Robbins each added an RBI, Brantly drove in 2.

Toledo 8, Charlotte 3 (White Sox)

Toledo led 2-0 after 1 and continued to add to their lead throughout the night.

Charlie Furbush (LHP) was the winning pitcher after allowing 2 ER on 5 hits and 2 walks over 6 IP. He also struck out 8.

Scott Thorman (1B) had an otherworldly game. He went 3-5 with 2 HR, 1 2B, and 4 RBI. Danny Worth (3B) went 1-4 with a HR and 2 RBI.

Erie 1, Trenton 0 (Yankees)

Casey Crosby (LHP) started for the SeaWolves and pitched 6 innings giving up only 4 hits. Jared Gayhart (RHP) was the winning pitcher after he threw an inning and a third in relief. Chance Ruffin picked up his fifth save of the year .

The lone Erie run came off an RBI-single from Bryan Holaday (C) in the 7^th. He went 1-3.

Lakeland 10, Charlotte 1 (Rays)

Jared Wesson (LHP) won after 6 1/3 as the starter. He held Charlotte scoreless on 5 hits and 2 walks. Morrison and Stohr combined to allow 1 ER over 2.2 innings of work.

After a 7-run 3^rd inning, it’s difficult to pick one or two specific performances worth noting.  Avisail Garcia (RF) led the team with 4 RBI. He went 2-4 with a double and a homer.

West Michigan 6, Bowling Green 3 (Rays)

Jeff Ferrell (RHP) got yanked after 4 IP and 3 ER. Patrick Cooper (RHP) became the winning pitcher of record after 2 scoreless innings of relief. Hoch and Rondon combined to pitch 3 scoreless innings. Bruce Rondon (RHP) recorded his 5^th save of the year.

Steven Moya had a productive night: 2-4, 1 R, 2 2B. Robert Brantly (C) went 1-5 with 2 RBI. Perez, Robbins, and Castellanos each had an RBI.
